Flat Thomas Finds an Island

Leta West encountered Flat Thomas taking in the sights far from his Talbot Settlement. He agreed to pose for several photographs and Leta forwarded those to us with a quick note...
"At last Thomas reached the far west coast of Canada over 200 years later. Here he is on Vancouver Island at the Elk Falls Provincial Park standing before thousand year old Douglas Fir trees."
Vancouver Island was named after George Vancouver. George was a British Naval Officer. He explored the Pacific Coast of North America for three years, from 1791 to 1794. Just think, George might have stood where Flat Thomas is standing in front of the very same trees!
